Cookie and Tracking Notice
The browser storage, fingerprinting, and analytics technologies JOLT uses.
Effective and last updated: July 17, 2026
Overview
JOLT does not use advertising cookies or ad pixels. We use first-party browser storage, device-derived identifiers, and analytics technologies for preferences, acknowledgment, continuity, security, abuse prevention, and measurement. This notice complements our Privacy Notice.
Website preferences
The marketing site may store preferences you select in your browser. This first-party storage remembers your choices and is not used for advertising.
Jack acknowledgment and continuity
Before Jack initializes, first-party browser storage records that you acknowledged the applicable privacy notice and, where required, terms. If you do not continue, Jack does not create the pseudonymous identifiers, fingerprint, or session information needed to start a chat.
After acknowledgment, Jack may store pseudonymous identifiers, session state, and an abuse-prevention status in your browser. These values support continuity, security, and enforcement. Customer-operated deployments may use customer-specific notices and terms.
Fingerprint and device data
Jack uses local browser technology to derive a pseudonymous identifier from browser and device characteristics for security and abuse prevention. JOLT receives the identifier and related technical information. This local process does not by itself send that information to a separate hosted identification service.
Browser signals and cross-site posture
Jack receives your browser’s Do Not Track setting as part of technical metadata. JOLT does not currently change processing in response to that setting. JOLT does not use the Site or the JOLT-operated public assistant to track your activity over time across unaffiliated sites for behavioral advertising. This statement does not describe a customer-operated Jack deployment, which is governed by that customer’s notice and agreement with JOLT.
Cookieless analytics
We use analytics technologies to understand aggregate site usage without third-party cookies. Analytics are not designed to identify individual visitors. Hosting and security systems may separately process ordinary request information.
Your controls
You can decline Jack before it initializes and can clear first-party site data in your browser settings. Clearing storage removes local values but cannot by itself erase server records; use the request ID and instructions in the Privacy Notice. Private browsing behavior varies by browser.
Regional consent
JOLT does not currently operate an advertising consent manager or claim to honor Global Privacy Control for activity we do not perform. Before intentionally targeting a jurisdiction that requires opt-in for non-essential device access or fingerprinting, JOLT will deploy controls that block those features until valid consent or another lawful exception applies.
